Directions ...
By Car from the South:
From J36 M6 follow the A591 to Ambleside. Follow the one way system through the town onto Compston Road and Smallwood House is half way up this road on the right hand side.
By car from the north:
From J40 M6 follow directions for Keswick. Turn left on to the B5322 signposted Threlkeld to join the A591 for Windermere. Follow this road past Grasmere and Rydal to Ambleside. Follow the one way system in the right hand lane onto Compston Road and Smallwood House is half way up this road on the right hand side.
Car Park:
The car park is found at the rear of the building. Take the first right after the guest house and turn immediately right again.
By Train:
Trains to Windermere and a connecting bus or taxi to Ambleside.
